The manual.

Create a wallet, back it up, send safely and understand what the Tor state means. Short enough to read before your first transaction.

Quick start

  1. Download the signed APK from the download page and install it.
  2. Create a wallet and set a master password you do not use anywhere else.
  3. Write the recovery phrase on paper. Store it offline.
  4. Wait until the header shows Protected.
  5. Receive a small test amount before moving a larger balance.

Create a wallet

Open the app and choose Create wallet. The wallet is generated on the device. The master password unlocks the encrypted vault; it is not sent to a server and cannot be reset by us.

You can import an existing BIP39 wallet instead. Importing a phrase gives the app full control of that wallet, so only do it on a device you trust.

Back up

Write the recovery phrase on paper, in order, and keep it somewhere physically secure. Do not photograph it, paste it into a notes app, email it to yourself or store it in a cloud drive.

There is no cloud backup. If you lose the phone and the paper phrase, the wallet is gone. Nobody, including the project, can recover it.

Receive

Open the wallet, select the network and tap Receive. Copy the address or show the QR code. Make sure the sender uses the same network. A BEP-20 transfer sent to an Ethereum-only flow, or a TRC-20 transfer sent to an EVM address, can be lost.

Send

  1. Select the asset and network.
  2. Paste the recipient address and enter the amount.
  3. Review the quote: network fee, total and the destination.
  4. Confirm with your master password or biometric unlock.
  5. Sign locally. The app broadcasts the signed transaction through Tor.

Always verify the first and last characters of the address. Clipboard malware is common and can replace an address after you copy it.

Tor states

Protected means the circuit is ready and requests can leave. Connecting means the app is still bootstrapping; actions that need the network stay disabled. Offline means Tor could not start or the circuit failed. The app will not fall back to a direct connection.

If Tor is blocked on your network, try another network or a trusted VPN. Tor Wallet does not include a bridge configuration screen yet.

Networks

The app supports BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, TRON and Avalanche. Native assets and common stablecoins are shown by default. A network’s RPC endpoint is contacted through Tor; the endpoint sees a Tor exit, not your IP.

Updates

The app checks the signed release manifest through Tor. When an update is available, Settings shows the version and a download action. Mandatory releases cannot be skipped when the manifest marks them as required.

You can also download the APK from this site at any time. Verify the SHA-256 before installing.

Support

Support runs inside the app, not over email. Open Settings → Support, write a subject and message, and the admin team replies in the same private thread. No email address is required.

Include your app version, Android version, device model, Tor state and clear reproduction steps. Never include a recovery phrase, private key or password.

Troubleshooting

The app stays on “Connecting”

Wait up to a minute on first launch. If it does not move, check that your network allows outbound connections and try another network. The embedded Tor client needs a few minutes on very slow links.

A balance is missing

Confirm the selected network and token. Pull down to refresh. If the RPC is unreachable through Tor, the balance will not update; the app does not fall back to clearnet.

I forgot my master password

There is no password reset. Restore the wallet from the recovery phrase on a new install. This is why the paper backup matters.

The APK will not install

Allow installs from your browser, check free storage, and confirm the file is a complete APK. If the checksum does not match, download it again.
